The sixteen-port MegaRAID SAS 9260-16i provides a new level of performance and data protection for businesses that are facing storage challenges driven by unprecedented data growth. Customers can connect up to 16 drives inside the server via direct connection or passive backplanes. Also, by utilizing SAS expander technology, this controller can scale to support up to 128 devices for growing storage requirements. This MegaRAID value line controller, great for inside-the-box connectivity, employs the latest in RAID-on-Chip technology, complies with the PCI Express 2.0 specification, and supports 512MB DDR2 cache and optional battery backup for maximum performance and reliability.
