LSI40909G Fibre Channel adapter provides a turnkey
solution for SAN configurations with both computer-to-computer (FC-IP) and
computer-to-storage (FCP-SCSI) protocols. Together with data zoning and
file sharing software, this Fibre Channel adapter, when used in a SAN
configuration, provides users the ability to communicate with one another
and to access storage devices without the overhead of a server. The
configuration has a much higher data throughput - up to 200 MB/second -
than that of the Local Area Network (LAN) configuration commonly used
today. The LSI40909G with a GBIC interface module system for optical and
copper interfaces.
