Overview
Available in capacities of 73.5, 147 and 300 GB, Fujitsu's latest generation of 1" high 10K RPM hard disk drives, the MAT/MAW series, have an internal data transfer rate of up to 132 MB/s and an average seek time of 4.5ms (Read). With lower power consumption, higher data rates and improved reliability, the MAT/MAW drive series is a robust design perfect for those demanding applications where cost and performance are essentia.l Providing 68-pin (NP) and 80-pin (NC) U320 SCSI alongside 2Gbps Fibre Channel (FC), the drives are equipped with an interface to suit all applications and storage environments.
Drive Features
- Large capacity: Massive capacity has been achieved through the development of head, media, signal processing technology, servo technology*1 as an element technology allowing up to to 11Gb/cm2 (75Gb/in 2) high density and up to 75GB*2 per disk, 300GB*2 per drive (4 disks) high capacity.
- High Performance: Read Ahead Cache *3 and Write Reordering Cache *4 enable the drives to execute read and write operation in high speed.
- High Reliability: On the fly ECC (Error Correction Code) and S.M.A.R.T *5 function enable the drives to improve the data reliability.
- Silence: FDB spindle motor is incorporated for silent operation.
