Enhance Technology's new performance driven UltraStor RS series Enterprise
SAS RAID system delivers over 800MB/sec speed to meet with data/transaction
intensive applications. Utilizing point-to-point host / disk connectivity, the
UltraStor RS8 SS offers Enterprise-grade fault tolerance solution and improved
performance for applications that demand nothing short of superior reliability.
UltraStor RS series is designed to accept both high reliability SAS disks and
high capacity SATA disks, and is capable of dynamic storage expansion to 4x more
enterprise RS16 JS JBOD storage sub-systems for a total of 80TB storage
capacity.

Versatility
The high-performance ULTRASTOR™ RS8 SS is becoming the new standard for RAID
protected storage which provides the most scalable performance and high level of
storage reliability using the latest SAS architecture and RAID technologies. The
ULTRASTOR™ RS8 SS provides up to eight (8) 15K SAS or 3Gbps SATA drives and
features two SAS channels and one SAS expandable port. It is powered by a
cutting edge 64-bit RAID engine with up to 2GB cache memory, which maximizes
disk performance allowing for a broader range of storage possibilities.
Built-in enterprise features such as Snapshot, N-way Mirror, RAID-6, & Web GUI
management makes the new ULTRASTOR™ RS8 SS an ideal solution for server storage
such as Microsoft Exchange & SQL Server or professional storage applications
providing versatility critical to a company’s IT infrastructure. Dynamic on-line
RAID volume expansion allows additional capacity to be added without total
system downtime, increasing your department's productivity.

provides a transparent and driverless method of adding additional RAID protected
storage to an existing IT infrastructure, regardless of your operating system or
hardware. The ULTRASTOR™ RS8 SS series is designed to easily integrate into
elaborate SAN fabrics or point-to-point centralized storage. ULTRASTOR™ RS8 SS
truly offers a flexible and powerful solution that will increase your capacity,
productivity and add unprecedented data protection. The RS8 SS is
essential for video streaming process, nonlinear video editing, disk-to-disk
backup, database pools, near-line storage, data centers, media & asset
management libraries and shared SAN networks.

The UltraStor RS8 SS offers multiple management options to match your workflow,
and can be completely auto configured in minutes using the convenient rear LCD
control panel, and monitored or reconfigured through a remote connection. A
comprehensive menu screen facilitates the setup process and lets users
reconfigure the system as storage needs change. An RS232 interface gives users
access to advanced features such as multiple array settings. A network
interface is available for remote web browser based management and includes the
essential tools required to manage and monitor your RS8 SS anytime anywhere in
the world.

of products and their architectures. High reliance on the Internet and

be available 24x7, year round. Multi-pathing, the ability of a system to use
more than one read/write path to a storage device, is a high availability
solution that provides fault tolerance against single-point-of failure in
hardware components. Multi-pathing can also provide load balancing of I/O
